Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink
When I dyed my hair with manic panic I wasn't really planing on starting a review blog so i didn't take to many pictures of it when I first put the dye in but the other reviews will have way better photos.
I started off with a mostly yellow-blonde base some of it was white and in some places it was pink from when I dyed it purple. I used 2 different methods to try and get my hair to a nice blonde base for the color.
The dye had a very thick texture and it didn't smell delicious but it also didn't smell like a bunch of chemicals.
The info below was directly taken from the ManicPanic website, also I will add a link at the bottom of the post that will take you to the site.
Manic Panic is a cruelty-free hair dye, it is made from vegan ingredients, tested on celebrities not animals, it is PPD free (PPD is short for paraphenylene diamine which is found in most permanent hair dyes and is also found in printing inks, black rubber, oils, greases, and gasoline.), and is ammonia and peroxide free. It also has the benefit of conditioning the hair so you don't have to worry about leaving it in for too long. You can find Manic panic in stores like Sallys Beauty Supply, Spencer's, and HotTopic but if you do not have any of these stores near you or they do not carry the color you want you can always order it directly off their website.

After applying the dye and waiting for a few hours (it says to only leave it in for about 30 mins but i like to leave it in for a really long time) I washed it out and there was only the slightest tint of pink in the water, which is good because I did not need a pink tub. Now my hair takes color really well but they say for people with hair that is more resistant to color for them to cover with a cap and leave on for an hour or longer. Also if you have an infra red heat lamps you can sit under it for 5-7 mins to help towards deeper coloration, but I don't have one so I just us a blow dryer for a few minutes.

This photo I took almost a week later after 2 washes and it had faded a lot, but I think it faded more because it was such a light color to begin with, if it were a darker pink I think it would have still been really vibrant after 2 washes. When washing it there wasn't a whole lot of bleeding of color mostly due to the fact that it was such a light color.

Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish Sulfate-Free |
This is what I used every time I would wash my hair, it is a sulfate free shampoo.
Lots of people have stated that sulfate free shampoo is really good for dyed hair since it does not strip out so much color. There are other brands of shampoo that do have some sulfate free stuff but this is the cheapest shampoo that I have found so far that is sulfate free. You can probably find this at most stores, I got mine from walmart for around $3.

TRESemme Perfectly (un)Done |
Now with choosing a conditioner it doesn't really matter what type it is but I like to use TRESemme Expert Selection Perfectly (un)Done since it really makes my hair feel really really soft.

Three more washes and a little over a week later and the color is a very light pastel pink, and since it is so light when washed it is almost impossible to tell if any color comes out, but also it has not gotten on my towels or pillow cases but just fyi my towels and pillow case are not pure white so if you have purely white towels and pillow cases be cautious with wet hair.

About 2 weeks and 5-6 washes later the color is nearly gone only a faint pink can be seen and it is time to redo my hair.
All in all I would say as long as you like really light pink hair this is a great color and if you wanted it to look nice and fresh you would probably have to reapply dye every 2 weeks.
On the other hand if you are like me and don't have enough money to buy the dye every time you run out (which if you don't have short hair like me you would probably need to buy this specific color every time you wish to refresh your hair) I am currently trying out another Pink so look for that post it will probably be posted today or sometime this week! And as promised the link for the dye I used is below!
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT COLOR TO DO NEXT FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A COMMENT :D
